What support is there for dealing with bereavement?
After someone has died, it can seem like there’s suddenly a lot that you need to do, or that you need to know about. We know that this can seem like a lot to organise at a very difficult time when it’s important to look after yourself too. Do not feel like you must do everything on your own. If you can, ask for support from health and social care professionals, family and friends.

Support via text – text messages with information and advice to you or to friends/family who want to support you, key date reminders and holiday support, tailored to your circumstances. Cannot reply to texts (one-way service not two-way therapy)

Bereavement services including support calls, counselling face to face, via telephone or zoom are offered for relatives/friends of patients who have been referred to any of Manorlands services or have been seen by Airedale Hospital Palliative Care team. This would apply to patients from anywhere in Bradford, Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven.
